sc4map

sc4map

I'm working on a new version, which is based on a database back end. It will have a lot more nice features, and will be a lot more stable. Watch for updates.

sc4map is a tool to turn sc4 turn reports into graphical maps.

It has a lot of options, including:

  1. label by empire, name, ship class;
  2. ship histories/trajectories
  3. displaying explored space
  4. show data for arbitrary month(default is current turn)
  5. customizable color coding!
  6. current/Max CV count
  7. labelling of enemy planets/ships
  8. displays nebulae, mines, and other miscellaneous objects

Requirements:
  1. a computer
  2. sc4 turn reports
  3. perl. For Unixlike OSen, any version should work, and you almost certainly have it. For windows(Boo!) I recommend ActivePerl.
  4. a postscript viewer, like ghostview. You probably also have this.
  5. The sc4map program itself. I've packaged it in a couple of formats below.
    Every page needs ScreenShots:
    shot1.jpg

    Individual Files:
2jpeg:  A unix shell script to convert output into crappy jpegs. Not included in the archives below.
